Research Interests
My research interests include first and second language acquisition, bi-/multilingualism and psycholinguistics. I study acquisition, use and processing of grammatical phenomena in Italian, Croatian and English, such as null and overt subject pronouns and unaccusativity. I use primarily experimental methods such as Magnitude Estimation and eye-tracking. I am a co-editor of the Studies in Bilingualism bookseries, published by John Benjamins, and a member of the editorial bord of the Linguistic Approaches to Bilingualism and Strani jezici academic journals. I am directing a branch of the Bilingualism Matters Centre at the University of Edinburgh, Bilingualism Matters@Rijeka, the aim of which is to disseminate scientific findings about multilingualism to the general public.
